This work serves as a culmination of my student life in my bachelor's degree program. Through collaboration with an emerging singer-songwriter and dancers, I crafted a music video that brings the emotional world of the song to life.
Centered around the mysterious and hypnotic atmosphere of the track, the video explores the duality hidden within the main character’s inner world.
To keep the audience engaged throughout the minimal and experimental track leading up to its climax, I focused heavily on visual storytelling. While carefully aligning the visuals with the lyrics, I used dynamic camera movements, a bold color palette of red, black, and white, and a structure that shifts between reality and fantasy to portray the main character’s emotional journey and inner conflict.
The story of a dancer who dedicated everything to dancing.
The main character is a top dancer admired for both her beauty and talent. However, as she becomes increasingly consumed by rivalry and the pressure of others’ expectations, she gradually loses sight of her true self. Even as she reaches her limits, she holds onto her passion for dance and gives everything she has left for one final performance.
